Today was dedicated to revising the scripts, resolving problems and getting the sink working -- allowing players to fill a pot and move it to the cooktop. I replaced the scripts that were triggering nearby devices to only trigger the ones they were meant to. The cooktop now not only accepts the pot of water, but also heats it from cold up to boiling at various increments. Pots and pans have been chosen to use in the kitchen as well. The cleaning cloth has been updated to have multiple uses as well and is now in the "giver" so it can be replaced after washing and use.

all scripts have been created for low resource usage and only run when the device is in use which makes it grid friendly as well as region and player friendly.

this has been a very long and exhausting 2-3 months of my life. Between facing the death of loved ones, my own health and working on a new system and HUD i haven't really been here too often. I just got out of the hospital 1 a week ago.

Im hoping to return to working on Demon Island that the Tribulations system next weeks between the doctor appts. I hope you have all had a good couple of months and I hope to go wander around OS soon to find new things to add to my builds.

Vlad HelsingGood luck, we're with you in spirit.

so the new GFG grid will be opening to the public on June 1st!
We are working had to get it ready and there will be several events scheduled for the opening week.
I will post more as we get closer to opening week!

i've added 2 new avatars in the new grid: Sayo (the elder) and Fumiko. They will be available upon the grand opening.

so a lot has gone on since my last post...
GentleFire Grid has lost their ServerGuy, Una Masala and will be closing in a few weeks.
We are moving to a new host, have a new grid and are moving everything to the new place.
Due to this, Kaze no Chiiki is officially closed, but if being rebuilt on 2 separate 1x1's
This is due to the OSW Beacon making the spawning area at 128,128,{land height].

Anyone visiting GFG, please be aware that it will be moving, but the new host is not open to the public yet.
I will announce the new info when we get things ready!

Kaze no Chiiki is currently closed due to rerouting issues from OSW beacon and my landing. I am going to rebuild the entire 2x2 region from scratch. will keep you all updated.

i'm kinda back.... been really sick for the past few weeks. I've created a few textures to go with the Japanese theme that I have in Gentle Fire as well as some metal textures. They are all based on the history of Edo era Japan. I have created them as full perm, free of charge, seamless and such. You can get them in my inWorld marketplace just beyond the landing.

The boxes on the wall will give you the textures in a folder and the ones on the bottom will give you box, this was done to make it easier for hypergridding.

so i am working on the Japanese expansion for VivoSim and have changed some information.

    Current Gardens & Fields:
(removed and moved plants, more to come.
    Imo Hatake (tubers)
    Kokumotsu (grains)
    Konsai (root vegetables)
    Soryo (fodder)
    Yasai (vegetable).
    Habu (herbs)

I will be changing the growth times, stats (for the HUD) and redoing the containers in Japanese style.
I'm testing them now. I have changed the "gardens" and fields to be more specific.

Trees will take a bit longer since there are more of them, but I also have trees that give wood (and other byproducts) as well as fruits/nuts

It has been a lot of work, but i am very happy with the outcomes.
I am hoping to have most of the gardens done this week.
all in all, i am looking at 118 "new" plants/trees.

I have redone the entire tree with the help of AI on the scripting. It has a new look, realistic timing, new objects and best of all... things to collect at different times. Here here is the info.

    Kurumi Tree (SF Kurumi)
    VivoSim Japanese Expansion

    🌰 Primary Use
SF Kurumi (Walnuts) are harvested once per growth cycle and may be used in:

Savory dishes, Sweets and desserts, Sauces and pastes, Traditional medicines (such as Kurumi Aburagusuri for pain relief) & Offerings and gifts to Temples

    🌿 Natural By-Products
As the tree grows, it also produces secondary materials that reflect real orchard behavior: SF Ha – Leaves, SF Shijo – Twigs, SF Eda – Branches, SF Ki – Wood, SF Maki – Firewood

    🌳 Design Philosophy
The Kurumi Tree is a dual-output orchard tree, not a timber source, but does deliver wood from time to time

    ⏳ Growth & Care
Growth occurs over a multi-day seasonal cycle
Water is required throughout the cycle
    Neglecting water will pause progress
This tree is designed to be checked periodically, not constantly
Automation options may be enabled at the owner’s discretion, but manual care is encouraged for immersion.

    🧩 Japanese Ingredient Set
To support Japanese recipes and naming conventions, the following replacements are used: SF Kurumi → Walnuts

All names align with Japanese-themed recipes and future expansion content.

🛠️ Technical Notes (for Advanced Users)
This tree includes internal configuration and scripting changes to support Japanese ingredients and orchard behavior. These changes are already applied and require no modification for normal use.

🌸 Thank you for supporting the VivoSim Japanese Expansion.
